Kim hadn't seen her friends for months, and now she was finally back home. It had taken a lot of her NOT to cry happy tears when she read her blog.
If her grandma wanted to stop her, she could just try. Kim wasn't afraid of that old woman. She'd even gotten boba, bubble tea and brought her own orange soda. What would she ask her? What would Mei ask? Probably about what she'd missed and the teacher in Ethics, and if Kim had hurried up with her love life, or managed to stay away from Yao.
Why would she even ask about that? Why should she stay away from Yao? It wasn't like she had this crush on him, that had lasted since Sophomore year! Totally not. He was too old, and she'd found someone else.
Oh, she really hoped Mei wouldn't ask about that. The girl knew Kim wasn't one to talk about crushes and boys.
