Ivan paced his office, throwing nervous glances over his shoulder at the clock. It was only a few seconds until two and Hak Soo still had not arrived. It was very unlike her to be late.
To counteract his nervousness, Ivan often found himself wandering about his office, making sure that the frames of his paintings were completely parallel to the floor. He was considering taking up Yao's Feng Shui idea since his office was looking a little plainer each day. Though he adored every photograph and painting of sunflowers that occupied his office, it was getting rather droll staring at them every passing minute he spent in this office.
Ivan reclined in his leather chair and put his boots up on his desk. He fingered the loose papers slipping from Hak Soo's file. He waited, whistled an old Russian lullaby, and paused the moment the tiny clock over his desk chimed 2 o'clock.
