No Experience and 2 weeks late...Please hire me D:

Mar 17, 2010 22:13

Who: Ana, Valdi
When: Wednesday 17th of March, 4pm [Timewarp? :) ]
Where: Ana's restaurant
What: Valdi finally goes for a potential job.

Valdi was overwhelmed with guilt. He hadn't meant to delay his trip to the restaurant, but with school work and getting lost and doubt [how does one conduct an interview anyway?] it had simply just happened. And it was with that sense of guilt that he stood outside Ana's shop, readjusting his bag again and again and weighing up just how odd it would look for an Icelander to serve in an Indian restaurant. Especially one that had never even tried Indian food.

Well, Ana seemed nice enough...so maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

After much hesitation Valdi finally brought himself to enter the restaurant, keeping his eyes drawn down in an effort to ignore the inevitable stares from other diners. Pale skin, lilac eyes and ashen hair- sure it wasn't every day that an almost albino child walked into a restaurant but...didn't Americans at least have some common courtesy not to stare?
Thankfully the attention was short-lived and he was able to reach the counter without much trouble (Amazingly. It was very busy with customers and employees alike pushing past each other to get the orders out as fast as possible). Placing a hand against the lip of the table Valdi leaned forward, trying to catch a glimpse into the kitchen in the hope of finding Ana.

What was he going to tell her? He was meant to be here two weeks ago...was it even worth trying?
With business like this she must be so busy too..

Valdi had never had a job before but it was common knowledge that most places wouldn't even bother considering employment for someone so late.
Well if nothing else he may as well try this curry..
