Trestle Fire & Teesha's Studio (UPDATED)
Hi All!
I took this picture this morning of the fires that are happening to a particular part of the railroad trestle. It's a main line for the Union Pacific and a major line right over the American River. The air smells like creosote...not a good thing.
"Emergency workers used loudspeakers to tell pedestrians to stay out of the path of the smoke, fearing it may be hazardous. The wall of smoke extended an estimated 2,000 feet into the air and bent in a giant S-curve, blanketing the capital skyline. The trestle, which was buckling and appeared ready to collapse, supports a key rail artery leading into Sacramento."

Well, not much else to blab about ---maybe later I will think of something thrilling. Oh! I just remembered something. Well, you remember our washing machine is broken. Well, its going on three weeks now and I am REALLY tired of handwashing stuff. The pile of laundry in the bedroom is so big I think its gonna take a week to get it all done once we get the machine back and running.
Anyway, yesterday I bought some new jeans on my lunch hour. I couldn't wash them first before wearing (like I normally do) So I put them on this morning tear off all the tags and pop off to work. So later ,I kept hearing a crackle sound when I sat in my chair. I finally realized that I still had that clear strip label that says the size was still stuck to the back of my thigh ((augh!)) how bad is that? I even went to get coffee this morning at Starbucks. I guess everyone knews I had new pants on ?
At lunch I am going to drive over to this neighborhood called (Land Park) and shoot some pictures of this GIANT tree that's in full bloom. I shot a picture of it last year ---it's amazing. I'll show you the pics. tonight.
It's going to be 83 degrees today---pretty great huh? I remembered to put on my sunscreen this morning. I have to careful about that even more now. Yesterday I got some sun on my arms as I was driving with the top down in our little Miata...and later I saw that my arms were kinda weird looking---red speckles all over....like I had tiny broken blood vessels or something.
((It went away thankfully))
