A Wild Turkey on my Roof?
Hi all!
When I was walking out the door for work the other day, I saw this hummingbird on the telephone line. I had my camera with me, so I shot this picture....
When I was sizing it later I was happily surprised that I captured him in focus! See? (you'll need to click on the (read more) to see it ;)
Check out the trees around town! Really pretty huh? It's a stinky Fruitless Pear. (ya, it really pu's)
Here's Pink Tulip Tree...I think these blossoms are so amazing.
Yesterday morning after a terrible night of nightmares, dizziness and well, absolutely no sleep I woke up...staggered to the bathroom and out the window saw THIS wild turkey staring at me from our neighbors roof! At first I thought I was imagining it since we don't usually have wild turkeys in our part of town...
I yelled out the door to tell Kip, who was in his studio...and when he popped out to see what I was screaming about he said "Hey! There's a wild turkey on our roof!" lol! I said well DUH? (jk)
So there it is. Kip took a picture of it with his cell phone so it's not that great. Then it flew away. He said "I've never seen a turkey fly!" ((hey? isn't that a children's book title or something? ;)
So let's see what else...well, I am still doing major purging of house furniture and things left over from the antique mall space I had.
** Side note** Patti, I have a TON of things for you to look through if you want me to drive by your house and show you. Otherwise, I will be packing the car and taking it by the 57th Street antique mall to see if anyone there would like to buy some of it. ok?
It feels good to get rid of some of this stuff. Especially the old odd's and end's furniture pieces.
I have moved BOTH bookcases out of the (dinning room) which will be my additional art studio space and boy the room is nice a big! 11' x 14' :) Anyway, it's coming along---slow but sure. K, this is all just boring blab without pictures to show you -so I will stop for now. Have a great Monday,
