CELEBRATING!

Hi!!
I got my scan results back yesterday while at the doctors, (a few days earlier than expected) and they came back CLEAN!! no sign of "C" YahooOOoOooooOoo!!!
That was my first 3 month check up. Isn't that friggin' fantastic? I KNOW...I am SOOOO relieved. The RN even showed us the pictures of my PET/CT Scan on the computer. Boy, that was a trip--seeing your body "innards" 3-D. ________________________

The Conversation:
Me: So what's THAT part?
RN: Well, that's your neck...
Me: Why is it lit up? I thought the yellow areas were the "hot" spots?
RN: They are...that area just shows that you have brown fat in your neck.
Me: Wha?! my double chin?
Kip: ((rolls his eyes))
RN: No ;) "Brown fat - found mostly in newborn babies, between the shoulders; important for thermogenesis (making heat). " it's normal.
Me: Oh :)
RN: See here's your heart...it eats up A LOT of sugar so its really yellow
Me: wow...
RN: ok, we are coming to the end now (scrolling though my body) here's your bladder...and here comes your hip bones...
Me: Geez...that's pretty wild
RN: Here's your tail bone...
ME: ((laughing...)) Sticking my tongue out at Kip, then saying "I got to see my tail bone" you didn't...na na nee na na

Anyway, you get the drift...The RN was super friendly and I wish SHE was my rad-dee-ation doctor instead of the one I have now. The one I have now comes in the exam room for about 15 seconds then is gone. I feel like I am a car rolling across the assembly line. She has no personality whats so ever and is very abrubt and clinical. Oh well, I won't have to see her until August. ;)

I still have my last doctors appointment this Tuesday, but now that I know my scans came back ok, I'm not stressing about that one.

Kip and I went out to dinner at the little Bistro by our house to celebrate the good news. I picked up a nice bottle of bubbly on the way there. (Ever heard of this kind Kathe?)

My friend Anne knitted me this little coin purse out of the yarn I gave her. I only gave her one ball of yarn :( so this was what she came up with. Pretty resourceful teenager egh? I love it Anne! ((ty))

I bought some Noro Iro yarn on sale and am making this...yes another scarf.

I got a little farther on the "BIG Mystery Square...I am also knitting

I found a cute ((girl)) website the other day. I love her photography, very colorful and clean.

Check out her blog here: http://rosylittlethings.typepad.com/

and her website here: http://www.rosylittlethings.com/

Then under her website, check out the Notions Tags & Notions Cards under the "Paperie section" I think they are great. ((Anne, this is something you could do so well!))

Anyway, lot's of creative goodies there....and speaking of creative, I think I will stop blogging and start painting myself.

Bye4now,
Lo**
