Meeting Kathe, Yarns & Coat
Hi All! 
Friday night after work I got to meet a blog friend for the first time. ((Kathe)) She lives in town---and works really close to where I work. We decided to meet at a local Bistro and get to know each other. We blabbed three hours straight. She was SO comfortable to talk to, just like we had been friends a long time.
We decided to order some appetizers. Those things on the right hand side were called shrimp cigars. They used to be one of my favorite things from this restuarant, but they changed the recipe and they now look really weird (like dog bones kinda) and they dont have the same flavor. Oh well, we still ate them all :) The other appetizer we got were crab cakes, which had a wonderful aioli dipping sauce. This one kinda sounds like it. We shared some killer champagne called "Billecart Salmon Rosè" from France---it was excellent! http://www.champagne-billecart.fr/

I of course explained to her that I MUST take a champagne pictures for my blog. (But she knew that ;) So here's my artsy shot...
I am about halfway through (re-knitting) a scarf for Kip. Its coming out nice. I'm just using the plain ol' garter stitch this time, no patterns to it. I am combining two different yarns though, and I like the subtle color changes. (Wool and casmere)
Speaking of yarns, Kathe also gave me this beautiful yarn. Thin threads of browns, maroon and a sparkle of silver running through it. (wool & cotton)

Yesterday at Target, I bought this bag to carry my knitting projects in. I WAS using a gift bag---or I was using one of those reusable grocery bag totes from Whole Foods. --Now I'm stylin'! ;)
Well, I am off to clean the house and then later my Mom and M-I-L are coming over and I am making a new "Gut bomb pasta" recipe. Have a nice Sunday all.
Oh! P.S. Here's my coat that I will be trying to sell. OooOOOohhhhh Aaaaahhhh it's ever so soft...If you are interested it's about a size 12-14 and is an Azurene Mink. Asking $350.00 (I'll take payments ;)
