I'm sorry...I still think THAT jacket belongs to THIS guy:
(He looks less like a kid playing dress up with it...)
But I will grudgingly give him points. Though from everything I gather (yes, I will watch, but I will be sure to be braced for it), he OPERATES like a lukewarm Dean Winchester, so color me less than impressed.
It's like he couldn't make up his mind and just let it grow...a decade sounds about right, lol!!
The biggest smile I got was when a commenter asked if anyone else thought 'Matt Smith' when they looked at him. Though I'm not sure yet if Matt (who is a talented individual!) should be insulted by the comparison!
"NO FIXING THIS ONE: And then there’s CBS’s plodding, pallid reboot of MacGyver, with the durable character reimagined as a resourceful young hunk. Angus “Mac” MacGyver is now being played with zero personality by Lucas Till, who looks like a justifiably forgotten Winchester brother from Supernatural.
"As adept, though not as charming about it, as Richard Dean Anderson was back in the day at fashioning makeshift weapons and gizmos, this MacGyver is more like a baby Bond. He’s assigned to perform dangerous missions with the help of a team that includes CSI’s George Eads as his muscle, chirping witless banter like “You go kaboom, I go kaboom” to show that he’s got the kid’s back. There’s also a female hacker (Tristin Mays) on board, because everyone’s got to have one these days, even if she kind of makes MacGyver’s skills seem redundant.
"Maybe it’s a function of a terribly written pilot, saddled with endless voice-over expositions, but every time MacGyver underscores a twist by saying to the home viewer, “I know what you’re thinking,” I kept thinking I hope he doesn’t. Because this is meant to be a family show."
Likely accurate, though. *Winces* BTW...someone in the comments of ANOTHER article pointed out the 'I know what you're thinking...' is MAGNUM'S tagline. I guess it can be hard to mix up the two shows names because of the 'M' in the title. I mean, 80's shows. They were all the same thing right? Because 80's?? Love the Winchester comment, though. *Giggles* Because yeah. He does. And Supernatural already HAD a forgettable (and regrettable) brother shoved in there. Season 5, I think. :D
I only remember one instance of "I know what you're thinking", and IIRC it was within the first ten minutes. And it was stupid as hell, TBH. My immediate reaction was "No, you don't, kiddo."
LOL!! I'm sure I knew what you were thinking though. Complete with incredulous and gobsmacked looks at the telly. I hope you had a pillow handy for those head-to-desk moments...
