Somewhat soulful

Yesterday was a beautiful day. We had gone to visit my grandmother's grave, but remembered that her tombstone had chipped off. When we got there however, we saw that it was fixed. This one guy who was bringing flowers to his father's grave saw our puzzled expressions and offered "So sorry, I saw it was broken and I fixed it with some cement".  He comes every week to visit his dad, with his son, and brings cat food to the felines that frolick amongst our grannies and grampas.

It was getting dark, so we left - but the walk to the main road was quite far off. We flagged down a van to ask the driver, who was a young Malay dude, if he could please direct some cabs along our way if he saw one. He asked us to hop on, and drove us all the way to near our home instead. He had paddles on his back, and was visiting his dad.

Ramzaan Mubarak indeed.
