Remember when...
You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.
You could dance the Macarena and rap the introduction of "The Fresh Prince Of
Bel Air."
"Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?" was both a game and a TV game show.
Two words... "Trapper Keeper" meant you were a super student to your peers,
regardless of grades.
Two more..."Boom Box"
"New Kids on the Block," "MC Hammer," and "Vanilla Ice" were "2 Legit 2 Quit"
You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates, and a
chance to couple skate at the rink was like winning the lottery.
You knew/know all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved by the
Bell" and strived to be just like them.
The new Beanie Babies were always sold out.
Kool-Aid was the drink of choice.
You begged to go to McDonald's for dinner everyday because a Happy Meal included
a Barbie or Hot Wheel.
Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming "do over!"
Being old referred to anyone over 20.
Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better.
It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides at
the local theme park.
Mario and Luigi shot that duck, Mike Tyson was Punch Out not a punch line, and
Super Nintendo was brand spankin' new.
You were reading "Goosebumps," not getting them.
You first understood the meaning of "Wax on, wax off."
"Just Say No!" was only effective in elementary and early middle school.
You took a different plastic cartoon lunch box to school for every day of the
week.
"How Rude!" came from Stephanie of "Full House."
Captain Planet was a superhero rather than a champion of liberalism.
You still got the urge to say "PSYCHE" or "NOT" after (almost) every
sentence...Not...Psyche!
Star Wars was televised once a year.
"I've fallen and I can't get up" was a favorite punch line of the day.
You knew that Kimberly, the Pink Ranger, and Tommy, the Green Ranger were meant
to be together, but at P.E. everyone fought to be the Red Ranger, Jason,
including the girls, while playing full contact Power Rangers.
You remember the craze, then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.
You remember when Kurt Cobain, Tu Pac, River Phoenix, and Selena died.
"Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia!".
And...
A normal week of television included: The original Power Rangers, Care Bears,
Captain Planet, My Little Pony, Ninja Turtles, Double Dare, Ren & Stimpy,
Blossom, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Hey Arnold, Legends of the Hidden
Temple, Kenan & Kel, Doug, The Magic School Bus, Smurfs, Wishbone, Rugrats, Hey
Dude, The Secret World of Alex Mac... Rocco's Modern Life, AAAHH!! REAL
MONSTERS, Wild & Crazy Kids, Clarissa Explains it All, CAMP NOWHERE, Salute Your
Shorts(CAMP ANAWANA), Are You Afraid of the Dark?, The original cast members of
All That, Dinosaurs, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Pee Wee,
