I tried to watch "How To Train Your Dragon" today. First I should say my new BluRay player does an amazing job. The picture is gorgeous. But I got about an hour in and just had to quit. This was every "misfit saves his ungrateful village" story Mercedes Lackey ever wrote, complete with semi-telepathic animal familiar. And my heart just wasn't in it. So I watched "Cold Comfort Farm" on HBO instead. Much more appealing.
The cold weather is hard on Madeline. It aggravates her asthma. She came in from a trip out to the backyard and wheezed so hard she made herself sick. I kicked the heat up a bit (it was down to 62 for sleeping) and tucked her into her bed - she's snoring gently now, I think we're okay.
