I hate warwick! Major rant
This is a major rant post so be warned!
OK so Warwick business school joint number one business school in the UK(apparerntly) you would think they could organise stuff but apparertnly not!
A lot of crap has been going on and I feel the need to rant about ti somewhere
1. We do a presentation in December for a module, its now April and we have no mark for it, I mean over 5 months to mark a presentation! Its shocking not helped by the fact the lecturer has now left Warwick.
2. Same lecturer sat an exam in January which we haven;t had the mark from either- the course office don;t even know if hehas started to mark the exams yet, but they hope that he has. Wont get those results until at least end of MAy because they have to go to the May exam board now.
3. Essay from the same guy handed in mid febuary do we have results of course we dont!!!
4. We start a new module yesterday and the lecturer announced that my group have an assessed presentation next tuesday! the same day we have a 80% essay due for another module. We ask him if he can put it back a week and he says no, I mean I can understand it from his point of view he had scheulded his class in a certain way. But it means we get assessed on material we have had for a week and is going to get written in one day max where other groups have up to 4 weeks to plan and write theirs. its just not fair and it all comes to the fact that the lecturers have fuck all clue about whats going on in the course and what the other deadlines are.
5. We start projects in a few weeks for our dissercation and they have only just sorting out whos working for who and becasue they are all external means I have even less time to get the work done becasue I have to go for interviews all over coventry and one might even be in london! I have an interview on Friday and they want me to prepare a 20 minute presentation on what I would do if I got their project which I have one page of inforation about the project scope. Its a joke!
6. We have one lecturer who is beyond crap about checking emails or returning calls and its her essay I am trying to work on at the moment. Finally get a reply from her about the word limit and she wants 2500 including everything! I mean thats just stupid what can you say thats worth while in about 2000 words by the time you add all the references!
I decide to let the rest of my class know this since I assumed they were working on a 2500 plus references essay, then I get this guy from my class start shouting at me because I told them and now we can;t claim that we didn;t know. I mean I think I did the right thing, if she is marking strictly on 2500 and has said anything over 2750 shes not even going to read I had to let them know right?
I am just so fed up with all the crap, I mean I knew when I came here it was the first year the course was running so there might be problems but literaly it is problem after problem and things are just getting worse.
Well if you have managed to get this far well done! I feel better havign bet up the keyboard for 20 minutes while I wrote this. Only 5 months and I'm back home unemployed, which at the moment I don;t care about at least I can sleep :)
