From IMDB: Five mothers cope with the drama that surrounds their gay sons at a mass wedding
It is a lovely, sparkling and effervescent movie, just like only a Spanish (and maybe English) can do. If you like early Almodovar you'll love it. The characters are perfect, even if a bit caricatural, sometimes.
What I really cannot understand is why Italy rated it VM which means that people under 14 cannot see it: faked morals!
Unfortunately reality is not that amusing. My long time friends from University, on of the most harmonious couple I've ever met, are going to marry in London this spring, and this is such a wonderful news. The bad news is that none of their families or relatives will be there to be happy with them because they deleted those "unworthy" sons the very moment they found out they were gay. My friends went to England, become successful designer and architect and never put one foot back in Italy.
I will be there with them spiritually on that spring day and I wish them that the love that has always supported them will last forever.
