It's sick, it's thick, it's stupid that he's become half of something he hates. It's an abusive marriage in expensive suits, two hands wrapped around waists and throats - the harder David squeezes the more Nick has to pretend he enjoys it.
He hates this. Hates what the coalition has become. Nick thought - back in May - this could be a force for good.

No matter what one's politics, one has to appreciate the difficult position Nick and the Liberal Democrats have put themselves in. I wonder if we ever really will get that moment of the "no door", or whether their party will fade away without ever (because of never?) having stood up?
