Welcome to our eighth prompt post.
As ususal, here are a few things to keep in mind:
1) All fills for prompts of the earlier prompt posts go in the post the prompt was posted in. No re-posting or splitting up prompts and fills.
2) Self-prompt when you post unprompted fic. (This means posting what the fill is about in a first comment, like a real

David is being awkward, again, and the Mail are stirring, telling their crowing readers that it’s only a matter of time before he takes over, like some backwards form of primogeniture.
“You know it’s not true,” Sadiq says, for what feels like the thousandth time. Ed nods, to appease him, but they both know that he doesn’t believe it.
He doesn’t know what he can do, to make Ed feel better, and it makes his heart ache, because over the last few years Ed has come to mean everything. They end up sitting together, side by side, and he can feel Ed’s body heat, and hear his breathing, and that has to sustain him, when he’s lying alone at night.
It all comes to a head when he catches Ed crying, and he has to touch his shoulder then, to be close to him, because he can’t bear to see Ed so lonely when there’s support he can give him.
“I’m sorry,” Ed manages, “that you had to see this.”
The words won’t come, for him to explain his position, so he lets his fingertips brush against Ed’s cheekbone, and when Ed only stares back at him, curious, he leans forward until he can press their lips together.
It’s awkward, and chaste, though there are a million things that he wants to do to him. He’d map every inch of Ed’s skin, he thinks. Drive him completely wild, until he begged for release, and then he’d start all over again. He’d make Ed understand, through his words and his touch and his devotion, that he wasn’t hopeless, and that he’d never give up on him.
He doesn’t know how much of that Ed can pick up, through a single kiss, but then Ed is deepening it and Sadiq can’t think, because his brain is getting a limited blood flow.
He keeps kissing Ed, over and over, until Ed is smiling, and he has to put some distance between them, else it’s likely to go further. “I’ve wanted you to do that forever,” Ed tells him, breathless, and Sadiq just leans in and kisses him again because, in that case, he wants to make sure that it’s forever Ed wants to be doing this for.
