Canada spoke, and I'm not proud of everything I heard

Jan 25, 2006 11:37

So for those who lives in Canada you knew it was election day last monday, January 23rd. The results came out late that night and I was actually happy that Liberals were out, but not that out in fact. I can't understand what happened here, why liberals got so many seats. Haven't people learned already? They robbed us and their corrupted, but I guess people didn't heard that, did they? where were they all last year?

This might sound harsh, and its only my opinion don,t be offense by it, but people who voted liberals, are whether blind and deaf or they're stupid. Come on, didn't they get it. People complained about them for months, they were tired of seeing them ruling our country and yet they vote Liberals.

My speech might sound like I,m a proud conservative, or whatever, but I'm not. I don,t believe in a lot of their values, but in my opinion, they cannot be worst than liberals right now, but I guess will have to see that in the upcoming months.I'm still happy the Conservative won, but I was hoping they would have had a majority of deputees, or at least a minority of deputees close to the majority. Like I said i don't believe in most of their beliefs (like gay marriage, abortion, war...) but They promised stuff that still hit close to home.

another thing that kind of gets me out of my mind, people who are convinced the Bloc Quebecois, will work out something for us in federal government, who believes they're a fidel voice for quebec. I,m sorry but its wrong. I'm from Quebec myself, proud of where I,m coming from, but not to a point where I would dream of it becoming a country on its own. They actually believe they're gonna make it, but they lost seats this elections, which in my eyes means that the seperatist idea is something that's gonna fade away real soon, but the Bloc Quebecois hasn,t realised that, they're too blinded by their own need to see what's really outhere.

In the end this election, didn't turned out as I would have hoped, but I,m proud of my part of country because around the area of Quebec City, people understood that the idea of the Bloc quebecois, was and old thing, something that didn't have what it takes, they understood Liberals had to be out. As for the rest, the independants and the NDP, i don,t particularly care, I think those have better values that who used to gouvern our country and who wants to get out of Canada.

That's the end of my rant. i hope I haven't offence anyone, but this is what I think, I ,ll respect you if disagree with anything I,ve written, it's fine, we cannot have all the same opinions. And, it doesn,t mean my opinion is the best, is the one to have, cause it probably isn't the case.

take care.
