A "Modgoth" Music Scene?!

Because fashion scenes and music scenes often go hand in hand...

Well, I thought I would try to create a Lolitamod playlist of sorts, including Mod, Mod Revival, Mod Jazz, 80's Gothic, Post-punk, Beat, Psychedelia, Proto-gothic, New Wave/Romantic, and Victorian-tinged music. Turns out, the combination makes for an interesting listen! I am going to make a duplicate of this playlist on Imeem, in which all of the tracks would be listenable for anyone, but for now I put up a Last.fm version which has quite a few full-tracks available for listening! I also ought to put in some Japanese artists that are associated with the Gothic & Lolita scene...this will definitely be an ongoing project, so please feel free to make suggestions for bands and tracks this playlist needs on it!! If it's Mod (or other 60's music; not all of my choices are technically associated with Mod), make sure it has a gloomy/dramatic tinge to it (like you'd find with The Doors, The Velvet Underground & Nico, for example). I'm not sure why I didn't put these tracks together sooner, since I love both Mod/60's and Gothic music!! Check it out!: Lolitamod Playlist at Last.fm
As far as delving into these diverse music scenes goes, I'd recommend stopping at some of the links below. Enjoy! :)
