Okay, so I'm sitting at work and a couple of cats come in so my allergies are acting up and I'm sneezing. Five minutes earlier a gentlemen comes in for a routine exam for his dog. After I sneeze (with no "bless you" from his general direction by the way) he says that he'll come in later because he "doesn't want to catch my cold." How he could catch my non-existant cold from 10 yards away I don't know. I reassure him that it is not a cold but allergies seeing as how I'm allergic to dogs and cats and work at an animal hospital. He does not believe me, repeats that he does not want to catch "my cold" and starts to walk out. I ask him if he'd like to make an appointment for a later time and he says, "Oh no, I'll call you."
I almost said, "Seriously?" but by the time I could pick my jaw up off the floor to form a sentence he had left. I've never had a person walk out for that reason before. I had to laugh. I hope you will too.
