Maybe he had an itch to return to the wild again. When it got cold enough, he was like "F*** That Noise!" I want to come back inside where I'm loved and petted.
Our retarded cat was a child of a stray that someone had been keeping in their bathroom while they were on duty. He slept in the bathtub for some reason and never really grew out of it. There are mornings in the summer where he'd sleep in the tub because sleeping with Mommy and Daddy was too hot. It was that he'd forget that I got up early to go to work and turn on the shower with him in the tub. So the first day of the week he'd be asleep in the tub and get wet from when I was turning on the faucet. He howl and run of in a huff like his tail was on fire.
Orange really is a cat of little brain. I've never seen a less curious cat. He never jumps into bags or boxes to see what they're like inside; he never tries to "help" you fold the laundry or read the paper; you never come into a room and find him up on some high perch where you can't even figure out how he got up there... Nope, he wants lots of cat food and lots of love, and that's it.
