... why not take some really interesting and wearable clothes that have the cachet of being winning Project Runway designs, and turn them into BORING and wearable clothes that are NOT the actual winning designs, when you mass-market them?


So Andy's "designs" *are* up for sale now... but they're not actually Andy's designs. You can see the differences here. I suppose I can understand why they made the pattern on the dress more symmetrical (though I do not approve), but the hoodie? The curved insets on the front are what *made* it! Everyone has seen ray pattern insets on a jacket front before. I just don't get it -- even my Andy, who is even less interested in clothes than I am most of the time, said that he would buy that hoodie if it came in men's sizes. Why did they change it? Bleah. Even the tame t-shirt and pants have been further homogenized.

Oh well, at least I won't be tempted to spend money now!
