SGA: Inquisition
So, we have an episode about how the people of Pegasus are sick of the Lanteans loose-cannoning their way across the galaxy without ever consulting anyone about their actions. Totally a valid complaint, IMO! But I had this sneaking suspicion that the writers were not going to agree with me (despite throwing that side of the argument a few good lines).
Of course, the inquisitors never question Ronon or Teyla, the two Pegasus natives who have actually been party to these decisions and might have some insight into what's going on, because that would entail the writers giving those two characters some agency. And the episodes ends with the white male representatives of the colonial military/government power triumphantly surveying their domain, drinking scotch and smoking cigars. (Rodney's not even invited -- not manly enough, I guess.)
