Today was supposedly "First Aid" seminar and training. Instead, I sat for nine hours listening to the same lecture (Basic Life Support) I attended last week. Ugh! Thank God I won't be kissing the dummies (again) in tomorrow's return demonstration.
Now I think I have a slight fever for spending hours sitting in class---inside a freezing airconditioned room---while it was raining hard outside.
I should've brought my umbrella >_>;
...and a jacket as well.
I do love the rain. In fact, it's my favorite time of the year; the rainy season. But the fact that I'm a regular commuter (can't just take the family's car for a ride because gas is so darn expensive!) and the place of the seminar/training I'm attending is really far away. Because the Red Cross local chapter in the area I'm living at doesn't have any available schedules for the trainings I so badly need.
AND THEY SAID THAT NURSES ARE REALLY IN-DEMAND! IN FIRST WORLD COUNTRIES, YES. BUT TO BE ABLE TO WORK IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY, ONE MUST STUDY AND PASS THE NECESSARY EXAMS. CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW MUCH MONEY'S INVOLVED?!
Omi is very bitter because of that fact right now.
On a side note, before going home,
elfen_jedand I decided to check on review manuals for the NMAT at an infamous local bookstore (one guess ^__^). Oh wow, it was darn expensive! In the end, we decided to look for a photocopied version of it somewhere in Recto probably next week.
The road to med school---and a scholarship---is riddled with expenses.
