Twenty-Dollar Sundae - in progress.

Sew.... as I posted earlier this week, I got a great deal on some
really pretty pink, brown and white stripey fabric...

It was actually a crib skirt... but it's cute, cheap and 100% cotton.

Sew.... $3 for the fabric, less than $16 for all the ribbon, lace and trim =

Twenty-Dollar Sundae Dress and Co-ordinate!

I should be able to make a dress, purse cover, hair bows, etc. all for under $20.

After I ripped it all apart I wrapped one of the short rectangular pieces around my sewing form
- pinning the center stripe to the middle of the front.

Pinned darts under and above the breasts on each side and cut the bottom to the shape I wanted.
Then I forgot to take pictures of the remaining steps. :) But here are the results so far!

Still not quite happy with the top part and I need to shorten
the straps some, but it turned out pretty well.

Here's the matching hair bow and the purse cover in progress.

That will have to do for this weekend. Hopefully I'll get around to finishing everything next weekend.

Happy sewing all!
