I've been sewing like a fiend lately but haven't had a chance to upload pictures... so here goes!
I made a jsk with a peter pan collar and scalloped bottom, it's a bit short, but it looks really cute over the matching skirt!
Detail of one of the bows and a picture of the skirt.
Close up of the jks collar and another picture of the finished skirt.
I am soooo completely in love with this
purse pattern Simplicity 2676 - the samples on the pattern are hideous, but the pattern is great. Watch for sales - Simplicity patterns go on sale for a dollar each several times a year. I always stock up on patterns when they're cheep. This purse is really fast and easy to make and sooo versatile. The black and white polka dot base is reversible to plain black (or whatever color you choose) and you can make an infinite variety of covers to go over the base. The covers just hook on with little loops of elastic.
Here's the first cover I made for my purse - the covers are reversible, too!! Each side takes about 1 fat quarter to make - Joanne's is having a sale on fat quarters this weekend - 99 cents each! I'm planning on making a ton of purse covers!!! :)
Lots and lots of bows....
More bows!
Thanks for looking! Happy Sewing!
