Peek-a-boo pleats make a fun accent to skirts. Here are step by step directions on how to make them.
The first step is to figure out what part of the design you want to use as a peek-a-boo. I'm going to use the black square for my peek-a-boo focus.
Next, fold the fabric down straight along a center line about an inch from your PAB focus.
Iron this fold nice and flat.
Continue folding and ironing until your fabric looks something like this:
Next, start folding the sections together, iron them flat and then pin each side down at the top of the pleats:
Last but not least, baste stitch along the top of your fabric to secure the pleats. You are now ready to sew this to the bottom of a skirt or dress!
