When Smokie, the 47 year old icon of unicorn stables past away, Charlie didnt leave his body because he was so sad his friend died. He died of starvation. Dianne said he didn't stop looking at the bone pile (where all the other dead horses were) because he missed him so much.
Charlie was the first horse I ever rode, and I rode him for 2 years and he was an amazing teacher and such a gentleman. He used to cat stretch when I curry combed his breast. I feel so privileged to have ridden such an awesome horse. Everytime I took him out and tacked him out people would stop and come over to ask how he was,
