There's nothing quite like waking up early on a Sunday morning to power shower, power dress, and power leave to go to Richmond to fill up on carbs.
The true Englishman I am will happily take bacon, eggs and toast over congee, egg rolls, dumplings, chicken feet any day, and every day [mind you pancakes and yogurt is just as pleasing as bacon and eggs]. For me, personally, filling up on carbs first thing in the morning makes me feel sluggish, sleepy and not to hot on life. Half the time when I come home I feel like curling up in my bed and sleeping- but that's not happening.
And then theres that god awful drive home. This is my own ailment. I don't think anyone else gets this, but after dim sum durring the car ride home i feel really claustraphobic and I feel like theres no air in the car, and it takes half an hour to drive to surrey from Richmond so try dealing with that for ever. I only get that sensation after dim sum. I usually step out of the car nearly retching. Its not fun man, not fun.
