Restoration - part 1
Today was a nice warm, sunny day so, after attending Easter mass, I backed the car out into the driveway and, after cleaning the garage a bit, started in on the car!
Actually, the leather was dried and begining to crack in places so I started by cleaning all the seats and then giving them a good soak in lanolin leather lotion and then wiping them off:
I also cleaned all the glass, inside & out and removed this old sticker promoting a zoo exhibit from back in the mid to late 1980s...
Underneath was the inspection sticker from the factory, still unfaded, thanks to the dinosaur park sticker:
There's still LOTS to do, both in cleaning and in mechanical maintenance, but it's satisfying to get started. Also I feel a sense of bonding with the car since I'm doing it myself, heh... ^_^
