New screen!

I have lots of stuff I want to write about tonight, but instead of writing it all in one post, I'm going to spam you guys a little bit ;) Maybe not everything tonight, but at least a couple of things.
First of all, I finally bought the new monitor!! I love it and it's huuuge! I do love it to death :) It's a Samsung 205BW. So sweet.

Now the story with the damn monitor (or why it's taken me like a week to finally buy it) is this;
My brother and I went to buy it at Boulanger on tuesday. We saw it, we told the guy to get it for us, he did, we payed and we went to a nearby Starbucks for coffee. But when we were finishing the coffee my brother suddenly looks at the big box and says "hey... that's not the model you wanted!". Grrrrreat. We go back to the store, we give it back, they give us the one we wanted, they give us a 10€ refund (because the one we wanted was 10€ cheaper than the one we got), we get in the car and go back home. At home I open the box, super excited about my cool new monitor, and when I take it out.... IT'S BROKEN!! The corners of the screen are sort of unhinged; clearly someone wasn't careful enough when they unloaded the thing, and they bumped it. So, heartbroken, I put it all back in the box.
The next day my parents volunteer to take it back to the store and get me a good one. Their offer isn't without merit seeing as the traffic is usually horrible in that particular area. So they go and bring back another box. I open it, and I see that clearly someone has opened the box before (the bags with the cables are ripped, and the monitor isn't wrapped). I start taking out the cables and when I reach to pull out the monitor by its "foot"... I discover that it's not attached to the actual screen. The four screws that hold the two parts together are -wait for it- missing too. My poor, poor, parents wasted their afternoon because some jerk-off returned the monitor WITHOUT the screws, and some jerk-off at the store didn't check to make sure everything was in order before putting it out for the public to buy. That's 3 monitors we've taken that we had to take back.
So, the day after that, my brother and I go back AGAIN to the store. But this time, before returning the screen we decide to take a look at the other big electronics store in the place, called Media Markt to see 1) if they have that monitor and 2) whether it's cheaper or more expensive. We get there and we see that they do have that model, and 50€ (71 USD) cheaper, which is a lot. So we go back to Boulanger, tell them about the screws, and ask for a refund. They give us our money back and we go back to Media Markt to buy the damn screen once and for all. But of course, I'm not that lucky: when we got there it turns out they were out of that particular model. They told us they were expecting a new batch on monday, and so we had to go back home empty handed.
And finally, TODAY, I finally was able to buy the screen (which was in perfect conditions) for only 200€ (284.27 USD)!! I couldn't believe it, I kept waiting for a rat to come out of the packaging or something Lool!! We did open the box in the parking lot before going home just in case something was missing.
But seriously, those people at Boulanger... they should really check what they are selling!! I've always had problems with electronics (I have really bad luck when it comes to this) but never this big! Even my brother, when he bought his last monitor had to return it because the power cable wasn't there, but 3 times??
Crazy. Anyway, I'll leave you with a picture of my new, beloved, huge screen. For some reason it doesn't really look that big on the picture... Oh well.
