First of all: HAPPY BIRTHDAY
storylikeascar!!!!!!!!
I hope you get lots of presents and you have fun and everything hun!!!!!
Okay, finished New Moon!! lol! I finished yesterday but I went to sleep right after ;) So here goes my "review"!
(
The verdict )
LOOL!!! YEAAAAHH!!!! Now I'm obsessed, like the lot of you!! LOL!
I know some people like New Moon much better than Twilight, but I'm not one of them. Of course you can blame it on the abscence of Edward for 3/4 of the book.
I have to say I do blame it on that a bit. Or a lot. I mean come on, the best parts of Twilight, those that made your hair stand on end, were the ones with Edward and Bella. I mean the line "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb" still makes my heart skip a bit! And then in the second book he suddenly disappears after some stupid incident and doesn't come back for like 17 chapters! WTF? And he really does leave, I kept thinking he was keeping tabs on her somehow, or following her from a distance; like his life now was to live on her shadow to be her "guardian angel" which I thought would be very romantic, but nooooooo the guy's gone to freaking Africa! lol!
Don't get me wrong , I love Jacob and his relationships with Bella, but Edward . . . Edward and bella are love :)
Exactly!! And I do love Jacob as well, I wish he could be happy... Maybe Bella could introduce him to Angela! That would be a good twist, and I adore Angela ^_^
First thing about the book I loved how Stephanie described Bella's depression. I think it was heartbreaking and so true to me, because I had the same thing. And then she describes this numness and excruciating pain in chest . . . it was so real.
Couldn't agree more! I did go through something like that, close enough to make those descriptions and moments feel seriously scary and real. I mean there was a time(when I went through that "something" actually) where I was completely sure that if my Rafa left me I would simply go catatonic or just kill myself (I don't feel like that anymore, which is healthy I think lol!) so I could really understand what Bella was going through there.
And then there's a chapter closer to the end, when Charlie talks to Alice about Bells and how helpless he felt he didn't know how to help her, I felt for him so much.
OMG I had forgotten! That is one of the passages that broke my heart as well, I was SO, SO sorry for poor Charlie! And I loved how he described what Bella had gone through from the outside, but you could see that he knew what was going on, you know? Charlie's much more than he looks, isn't he? ;)
And I actually liked the story with voices. For me it was obvious that Edward's really gone, but to me it just proved (although no proof was really needed) how much Bella loved him, and what she's willing to do to experience his presence at some way. Does it make sense ? :)
It makes all the sense in the world! And you saw Edward's reaction when she tells him that she was doing all those crazy things just to hear his voice? Another moment that left me heart-broken!!!!
And i just loved Jacob . . I think stephanie described him very well. And my favourite part, that he was paying so much attention to Bella . One of my favourite scenes was at the theater when he hold her hand and said that's fine with him as long as she likes him better of all her friends.
I know, he is just such a good guy! And I love how happy he used to be and how he knows what stuff Bella was more sensitive to, like hearing Edward's name, or the music... I really felt bad for him when he turned into a werewolf because he lost his "happy innocence". But I still love him as a werewolf, he was SO funny when he described some of the stuff he could do as a werewolf!!
When Alice had a vision about Edward and them lleaving in a hurry and Jacob not wanting to let her go and crying and begging and whole danger for Edward's life i was actually screaming at the book . . . so childish of me :P
LOL! Actually, I screamed at the book as well!! Not in that scene though, in the scene where Jacob's trying to get Bella to guess that he's a werewolf and she just doesn't get it. I was like "FOR GOD'S SAKE WOMAN, THINK A LITTLE!!!" lol!
p.s. off topic, what font did you use on Emma Watson wallpaper ?
It's called "bulkyRefuse Type" :)
