i'm going to miss my paid account. :( sorry to whoever paid for it...it didn't *quite* make it to a year. and it was so...neat.
anyways.
i'm going to take the job elisa offered me. i know pnkngrnd3 advised against it but i talked more in depth about what it would entail, and i think it's a good decision for me. the charges are to be hand-picked (and also non-violent..."i don't want any crazies like down the street!") and she said they're basically like "mr. deli", this guy who comes into her store on a regular basis, "pretty much normal and functional...they just need direction and supervision." i just think it'll look good on a resume to have managerial experience and experience with book keeping and ordering and stuff like that.
so my first month or two, i'll be staff while elisa and her husband work out all the kinks and she'll be paying me $12 or so an hour. a bit of a cut in pay from my delivery job (weird, right?) but worth the next move: i'll assume the title of manager and will instead be paid a salary. she said she's not sure what the salary would be, but i poked around and the average (in my area) runs from 35k to 40k a year for smaller group homes. she will have 5 charges. not too bad, esp since once mike is home, he'll probably be all "manly and husbandly" like he likes to be and will want to take care of rent and things like that. or the majority of it. i hope.
i hope we can buy a house fairly soon...after the wedding, i mean.
which is slowly becoming the big...behemoth looming on the horizon.
i have not done a damn thing except buy my dress.
