So I was really REALLY excited about this the night before last but when I tried to post something about my excitement, LJ kept throwing me this 500 error. SO.

I built this mansion. It's on a (big) medium sized lot and it's in the city, on this little island type thing I have going on.

The story of how I built it is kind of funny...I was watching Family Guy and I LOVED the house from "And Then There Were Fewer". I made a screencap of the front and sketched out a front elevation, which I think is going to be a new favorite method.

Anyways. If I do say so myself, it turned out quite nicely!! I'm excited! I would love to live here, for sure.

I didn't edit the photos much; I did lots of moooood lighting for the night shots so I didn't want to screw it all up. :D

WARNING. This is PICTURE HEAVY. There are 92 pngs in the album and I posted most of them.

(Cheesy name is after one of my favorite heirs from my old legacy way back when.)

We'll go back outside later. Let's go through the front doors.

The dining room and kitchen and pantry are to the left.

They pantry.

The view out onto the patios.

Back towards the kitchen (which is more sparse than usual since all the things are kept in the pantry!)

On towards the living room/ballroom.

Let's go back to the main hall and upstairs.

To the study and library.

And to the East Wing.

Not a huge bathroom, but old fashioned.

Onto the West Wing...second floor.
We can go down this corridor...

Or back to the grand staircase and through the other hallway.

Pretty much this house is one giant fire hazard lol.

The attached bathroom.

Upstairs...what a mysteriously mysterious bookcase there...

We'll go to the big bedroom up here before the gallery.

Probably my favorite bedroom.
The attached bathroom.

There is another bedroom up here but it's mostly unfurnished. There is a bathroom to go with it though.

Now to the gallery.

The owners love to collect rare art and artifacts from their travels.

So what secret is behind that mysteriously mysterious bookcase?
Well...on this level, it looks like a collection of some funny looking bottles...and some herbs maybe. And a ladder to another level...

Hmmm...a place to study different...scrolls? Those are some strange looking bottles too...

Onward and upward, I s'pose.
Hmmm. Scales. More bottles, most full...

And look around and there is definitely some sort of workstation.

Up again...
What's this?

Upstairs, there is just one more tiny level. Mostly for the view.
Not that you can tell; I couldn't get a good angle. So I just showed the general size of the room.

More random shots of the house, inside and out.

This is at the bottom of the tower. It leads out to the patios on two sides.
