Some of you may remember him...
I used to hang out with a guy named Scot from Bellevue. He would hit local shows with me and moved in for a few months after his mother died (deeeeeep depression, lost everything). He ended up getting a great job in Colorado and said, "Come visit!" The visit was all set up, time of work, someone to watch the dogs, etc., and then he never sent me his address. Ever.
I send him emails from time to time saying, "Just hit reply so I know you are alive. I don't know what's going on, but hope you are okay," or something of that nature. About a year ago, he wrote back, but it was cryptic and really pretty mean. He wrote, "You should have hurried. You are too late." He never wrote again. Ever.
His ex-wife got a hold of me this weekend, hoping I was still in touch with him. Seems a lot has happened since he fell off the radar. His daughters have both graduated, his father died, and now his eldest is getting married. His ex said his daughter so bad wants him to give her away and the wedding is in a month. I told her I'd write him at the email address I had, but don't count on a response.
So sad. He's a great guy, but sick. I feel so sorry for his girls. They don't want anything from him but love, and he seems to be incapable. I hope he's okay.
