Update time! Thursday I did indeed work on the Sound of Music matinee all day and it was pretty dull. Thursday night, Devin, Addison, Will, Jeffery, Nicole and I went to a bar by Covent Gardens (yes, I took the tube home only to return to where I work) called Porterhouse. It was nothing special but the band was good. We saw Jenn and Kelli there and told them we'd meet them in a minute, that we needed to find an ATM. We REALLY high-tailed it when we saw that Adam and Joe were there...creepers. Ugh.

We did indeed find an ATM, and we also found an O'Neils, which is a pub with the new Guinness Red that I've wanted to try, so we went in for a drink. I stole my glass. haha. By the time we got back to Porterhouse they weren't letting anyone else in, so we just headed home.

Friday morning Nicole and I went BACK to Covent Garden for a Vegetarian Full English Breakfast. It was scrumptious. We then grabbed some Ben's Cookies for later in the day. We headed over to Westminster Tube Stop, went inside Westminster Abbey, danced on Charles Dickens' grave, played "don't step on the tombs" and such. We then went to the London Aquarium. It was nothing spectacular really. We then went to Afternoon tea at the Marriott tea room over looking the Thames. Our waiter was fabulous, and we each had about 2 pots of tea each. Holy smokes. That night we all went to The Print Works in Farringdon, which I really like, but the area is super shady. Everytime I've been to that Tube Stop there have been drug sniffing dogs, just to give you some sort of idea about the place. We hung out there for a while. Nicole and I left pretty early. We were starting our new diet at midnight.

Nicole and I woke up at 7:30 to go to the market before out day trip on Saturday. Well worth it. Very well worth it. Stratford-upon-Avon all day Saturday. It was nice. A gorgeous little town. Saturday when I got home, however, I heard that Devin had gotten really badly beat up when he left Print Works the night before. I was told someone had tried to cut his throat and he had a giant black eye, that his ear was messed up and there were cuts on his face. I got nervous and upset. I ran upstairs and called Mike and started crying to him before I even saw Devin. He calmed me down and told me to go help my friend. I went downstairs and Devin walked in and I started shaking, but I held onto my wine glass and tried not to cry. When he asked what I had done all day, I looked at him and started to cry. I apologized, but I couldn't stop. I cried a couple of times over the course of the night, anytime we talked about what happened to him really... HE COULD HAVE DIED!

Sunday Nicole, Sarah, and I went to Spitalfield Markets, a place I could spend waaaay too much money. It was lovely. We got home and I took a nap. Around 4 Nicole and I left to cater our English professor, Jeremy's, birthday party. It was FABULOUS. His house was fabulous, his family was fabulous, and his friends were fabulous. He told us to eat and drink as much as we wanted and it was great. We also discovered a much safer area with a Print Works in it, and a shorter Tube ride I believe. So perhaps we'll frequent that one now.

Monday I had film class and we watched Blue Velvet by David Lynch. Trey McDoogal/Orson Hodge was the main character, but the was far younger. I got a kick out of that. It was very good, but weird. I would absolutely watch it again though.

Nicole and I made a GIANT pizza dinner last night. Wheat dough, White dough. Pesto pizza, white with garlic and broccoli, white with chicken and broccoli, margherita, plain, pepperoni, chicken and sauce, pineapple, tomato pie, the list goes on and one. We also made bruschetta and "pizza salad" which was pasta, cheese, tomatoes, basil, and Italian dressing. We had the usual brownies for dessert and I also made Chocolate Espresso cake that I really enjoyed and hope that there is a piece left for me when I get home.

Tonight we're all going out to celebrate Anne's engagement. Yes! My roommate got engaged while she was in Paris over the weekend. New news to replace the old and bad news of Devin. Thank God! I am amazingly excited about it! We're having champagne cocktails that I learned how to make at Jeremy's on Sunday, and we're all going to have finger foods, then go out to Zoo Bar. We are going to get Anne very drunk and I am very excited to do so!

That's really all for now. I will write more when I have more
