God is in marriage...
Audrey's wedding shower was today. It was nice hanging out with Jon, Kel and ATown but more importantly it was really awesome to witness such a God-centered engagement. During the toasts made today by their friends, I had the most goosebumps ever. It was just so sweet.
I guess they've known each other for a long time, being friends more than anything else. And 5 years ago he proposed to her, but she felt God wanted them to wait - to be stronger in their faith - before they were married. So, he loved her...and he waited. And now, they are finally getting married, and everyone is just talking about how their relationship is such a blessing and their love for God is such a light and inspiration.
Talk about patience. But then, you see how much God is going to bless and honor the relationship you wait for.
It was great being around such a God-pumped group.
Except with that comes being really embarssed. Why? Oh you know, maybe the huge hickie on my neck! Last night after intense DDR and almost-helping-in-a-fight, the Cash $$ crew and I had dinner with Blake's family. Luckily, right when I got there Blake's step-dad says, "looks like someone got a hold of you..." in reference to my neck.
And my cousin noticed it right away. I was talking ot the preacher at the shower and had my neck like rested on my shoulder, with my collar popped and hair down. Just hoping I wouldn't have to explain that that huge mark on my neck was just my friend Blake joking around. oh jeez...
