God is in the detours...

Oddly enough it seems that whenever I am with Tim...I am in store for some sort of adventure.

After a cool sermon at Christ Fellowship in Wellington with my mom and sisters (John 6), I went home and Tim picked me up to head back to g-ville.

The trip lasted from 1:30-8:30...you know for that 3.5 hour trip to Gainesville. Despite it's deceptive length, the trip was a lot of fun and I wasn't even ready for it to end.

It began by him turning left on Southern Blvd. and after he convinced me that he knew where he was going - we hit a dead end. It said "ROAD CLOSED"...we contemplated going around the barriers but instead drove through the Sugar Cane and back up to the road. I forgot to mention, that as we were driving out on N441, at 60 mph, Tim switched seats with me! Like in the car, on cruise control, let me switch and drive. So I drove through the Sugar Cane! I stalled a few times, including on a high hill overlooking Lake Okeechobee..where we saw a dead guy/possible sunbather....but it worked out.

Another highlight of our journey was probably when Tim was taking the keys out of the ignition while we were crusing down the hills. At one point, he lost power steering and we almost hit the guard rail. Awesome.

We rocked out through all the back roads and avoided the TPK. However, once we finally decided to get on the Turnpike, at 70 mph, we blew a tire. You know - it shredded! Tim just pulled over like no big deal and got out of the car. The people behind us also pulled over and told us we're lucky we didn't flip. I was like greeeaaattt...As Tim tried to change it, his tools were breaking off and I just kept asking if we should call AAA. But, 45 minutes later he fixed it. We prayed. And we were good to go.

The rest of the drive was awesome. We jammed out to some old Worship songs and made it into g-ville to eat at On the Border and chill at the hizzouse.....God is good.
