God is Spring Break 2005.....

Mar 03, 2005 18:12

While I know it is more than nerdy to admit this...I have been looking forward to updating my LJ all week. Now, as I actually begin to type - I wish I was writing down the funny things/lines as they happened. But whateve.

So Spring Break.
lines of the week: "Dude.....It's Spring BREEAAAKK!!" and "it's spring break...go with it...."

but first- Saturday: The Starting Line/Further Seems Forever concert. It was really fun and I enjoyed the show a lot. Friendly moshing during TSL. Good times...Then Tim and I drove for a long time - like out to frikin Ocala playing this really awesome game popularly-known as the 'stop-light game'. We picked different numbers 0-2(like rock paper scissors style) and whatever the sum of our numbers was determined whether we turned (1)left, (3)right, (0)u-turn, (2,4)straight. And then for the green lights we had to say something we didn't know about each other. It was way fun...and luckly we didn't run out of gas (this time...)

Ok so Sunday was Church and chill with Court. We went and saw the movie Hitch - and I was kind of embarssed at the theatre. I squeeze my large diet coke (around the middle) about to take a sip and it like volcanically errupts onto my lap. As we were sitting in the front, the audience behind us was laughing and couldn't believe as I sat drenched in ice and lots and lots of diet coke. Wow...that was before the movie started. The movie was ok --but was quite ummm wet.

I really like Courtney. We have gotten a lot closer and it's nice to be able to talk about boys and being messy. I appreciate how chill she is ...and she's rather supportive, as well.

Ok...so here comes the good stuff...DAYTONA BEACH 2005!!!
which I must admit I liked to refer to as SKETCH FEST 2005....

Basically, if you want a self-esteem boost by lots of guys touching you in places you didn't ask them to, the entire town staring at you and friends in an Oyster bar, get threatned to get kicked out the Plaza Ocean Club Hotel, see people puke out their nose, wear bikini bottoms and sweatshirts on the beach, eat bad Italian food, see your friends have sex in the shower and go crazy at the club Razzle-Mc'Dazzles....then go to Daytona Beach!

The trip was awesome. It completely went above my expectations and I can honestly say I was pleasantly suprised.

It was a temptation not to drink or do any um spring-breakish activities. However, I stayed strong and suprised a lot of people by my ability to shake it and have fun while still being sober. One night dancing our new friends Chris and Nick were chanting "go sober girl, go sober girl" and the guys were really cool about letting me play all the drinking games with just Diet Coke. It was cool. And I wish people could see that God brings me more happiness than any can of beer or shot of Bacardi will ever bring.

Every girl in my room had a handle of liquor....and most were done by the end of the trip. Everyone drank a lot.

And the girls = Me, Dalia, Ashley, Jessica Levine, Rachel S, and Amy A. At first I didn't know how the trip was going to be. I am so not sorriority girl. I'm a little different. For instance, I didn't want to make-out with random sketch boys at Razzles (our favorite club) or striaghten my hair to go to the beach. I didn't agree in the argument that you can only marry someone that buys a Tiffany's ring and I love rocking the V-Card.

However, we had such an awesome time together. Some of my best memories from the trip...
-Ashley was really drunk and got into the plant arrangement by the staircase. She just plopped in the set-up and layed amongst the fake trees.
-Watching the West Michigan boys give shots to the old guys on the pool deck.
-Playing a complicated, yet really fun drinking game of Ring of Fire in the UF boys room.
-Telling to 26 year old guy making out with Amy that her dad was here with a shotgun.
-When Jessica and I found Ashley with this 40 year old woman. Ashley was telling her they were best friends and how cute she looked (in the meantime scamming her for drinks....)
-When I danced with a 70 yr man and Ashley yelled at him "Sir, gross you're an elder!"
-Trying to get the chairs from every floor of the hotel into the elevator...and getting caught. Then having to put each chair back with the security guard.
-When the boys took off an article of clothing off at every floor we stopped at.
-Dancing with Dalia out on the flo'
-Having the messiest room....ever.
-When Amy couldn't walk at all because she was so drunk and then she just started sprinting home.
-When Dalia and I convinced that "Marine Engineer" we were lesbos. And we even kissed.
-When Dalia and I got like every sketch guy away by saying we were gay. And our shaking head "no" signal for "re-locate your butt a gross guy is behind you."
-The shower incident.
-Talking about Jessica's boobs. A lot.
-Getting ready to go out. For hours.
-When Rachel and I noticed every single person in the bar was starring at our group. And we were like ummmm...
-Laying out and talking and getting not-so tan. (well except Jess and Ashley's back)

the trip was really.really.really.fun.
lots of good memories. good pictures. good times...
