Happy belated Holidays folks...
I've been busy, friends - as usual. But I'm finally on a lovely little vacation and it's given me some time to rest (sort of).
My sister is back in town for the holidays - yay! Which means days filled with snarky hilarity. We watched "The Last Airbender" (the original Avatar movie) last night, which was just GOD AWFUL. Non-POC casting aside, the script was bland, rough and said more than it showed. Mr. Shyamalan really dropped the ball this time. Seriously! He took one of my favorite TV shows and turned it into drivel.
Toy Story 3 on the other hand was adorable, wonderful and made me cry (yes, I'll admit it).
And Harry Potter 7, part 1, was enjoyable when viewed a second time - although it's still missing a few things I wish they had added in (and to be honest, there were a few things they should have taken out - *cough* dance scene *cough*). True Grit and Tron Legacy are next on my list.
On the project side, I've narrowed it down to "refinishing" a desk for my room. I say that in "s because I don't think I have the patience to truly bring it back to it's woody glory. So instead, I plan to remove the worst of the paint and then paint it a lovely dark brown and give it brass hardware.
My nearly year long "Project: Steampunk My Room" is finally coming together - I'll post pictures when it's done.
And...back to work!
