Over the past four nights I have been awake until 1am, 12:30am, 2:30am and 4:30am respectively up to my neck in fabric, resin and paper. I'm sleepy, a little off and quite disheveled but on Sunday I hope it will be all worth it.
Why? You ask.
Because I'll be participating in Portland's annual Hawthorne Street Fair as a vendor!
Jean and I will be bringing our lovely handcrafted wares offline to sell to people face to face. If you haven't seen our work before, please take a look. My shop is
inkstrand and her shop is
Write Owl Designs. This will be our first fair and hopefully not our last, but we're nervous, tired and incredibly broke from getting this all set up (so spread the word to your friends, family, distant relatives and encourage them to give us their money).
And if you're in the Portland, OR area on Sunday from 10-5, please stop by our booth on 39th and Hawthorne in the Chase parking lot - even if it's just to say "hello". We'll appreciate it (and maybe even give you candy!).
Back to work.
