So today was my birthday and I think it went pretty well...as well it weekday birthday can go in general I guess.
I spent the morning with the boy. We went out for brunch at Broder for yummy Swedish breakfast fare (definitely recommend it if you're in the SE Clinton area at all). Then off to Pro Photo Supply where he bought me an awesome 4 in 1 reflector that was just the right size for me! Huzzah for new photography equipment. Then we hung out for a bit before I had to head home and do some stuff of my own.
Back home, I renewed my license online (sparing me the dreaded 50 minute wait at the DMV), ate a late lunch and read "Court of the Air" for 3 hours straight. Then I treated myself to a few items from Etsy (so many cute things so hard to choose): pomegranate soap, soap shaped like an amethyst crystal, vintage looking tickets (I plan to frame them), clove scented lip balm and chain-mail dangle earrings! I'll post photos and do a little review as soon as I get them.
I love all the birthday wishes I got from everyone, including the multiple phone serenades. My mom made me lasagna for dinner tonight and it was perfect.
I'm probably going to watch "Zombieland" next and do a little crafting before I head to bed early (hopefully to do more reading).
It might not have been exactly the day I planned, but it was relaxing and fun, which is the best I could ask for. This weekend I'll make sure to celebrate to the fullest.
Night folks!
