I left my car in San Diego, walked across the border to Tijuana (Mexico) where i boarded a bus that took me to Ensenada.
I wanted to do this one day trip to check out the route and to see if it would be worth to stay in Ensenada for a whole week
some time next summer.
I am driving on the US side. The city on the hills is Tijuana and that is where i am going.
If you make a left turn you will end up in Mexico.
There are all sorts of businesses on the US side of the border - every possible outlet, restaurants, parking for
people like me who don't want to drive across the border and insurance for those who do. According to Wiki there
are 300,000 people crossing this point of entry EVERY DAY.
The US side.
This is the mexican side.
And here is the fence that divides the border.
Fourty five minutes bus ride to Ensenada was very pleasant. Road goes along the coast, so i was enjoing the view
and taking pictures.
I am in Ensenada.
I am heading towards the beach. The walk was very unpleasant because of the strong wind and clouds of sand
mixed with dust.
The beach did not impress me much. Water was murky and cold , wind was blowing sand and dust all over the
place. I desided to take a rest before walking back though all this mess.
I walked around the town a little bit and around 6 p.m. i boarded the bus which took me back to Tijuana.
The ride back was equally pleasant.
The line to cross back in the US was probably a couple of miles long but it moved fast. In about 45 minutes i was
out of there and back in San Diego.
