More coherently, this is heartbreakingly pretty. It illustrates how so fucking tragic it is that Cas lost his mind, lost himself, with the amnesia, and got it back just in time to willingly give it up again for Sam. And just ASDFGHJGHJK I'll be over here sobbing for ever.

I watched it happen in disbelief. It was the additional sacrifice that I didn't see coming. I should have though, because in SPN world you can't just say your sorry and be subsumed by a lake in order to be redeemed. If you're not going to hell, you at least have to have Lucifer make a home in your head in order to truly repent. I guess this means that Castiel is a real Winchester now.

But right, ahem, tangent. Thank you for the comment! And I'm glad the vid did what it was, well, meant to do (sadistically share my heartbreak that is...._

Exactly, someone on my flist pointed out that now all three have "been to Hell" of sorts.

Kinda means they have to save him too. He did them, after all.

Without question, they have to save him! Actually I was relieved to see they left him there (temporarily, I mean, and in a meta way--not like I want Cas to be there! Well, um, you know what I mean...) because it means they have to come back for him, and fingers crossed it will be part of the season closing arc, so they'll take it seriously and give Cas his due!

I loved our creating in tandem like this! It was a lovely project to embark on together :) <3

(I did end up tweaking it a bit... have you watched the version linked here? After it sat up on YouTube yesterday (despite earning more likes than it has now, sniff) I saw some moments of timing that just weren't spot on, and a couple of layers I didn't like. I get a little crazy at the end of a vid. But I'm happy with the final version!
