I'm never going to draw someone lighting a cigarette EVER AGAIN. DDDDx
Smoking a cigarette, yes, holding a cigarette away from their mouth, maybe,
BUT LIGHTING A CIGARETTE IS NO. DDDx
I honestly thought Himura's lighting-a-cigarette was pretty, so I wanted to do that and use it as a ref, BUT HIMURA'S AMBIDEXTROUS (and the angle was different >_>). Dx
I actually tested myself out to see if I was more comfortable lighting a lighter with my left or right hand. Duh, right, but I culd do it with my left just as easily... but... I'd rather use my left hand to do the... shield-y thing, when lighting a cigarette. >_>
Seriously, though... I was flipping through google images to find a better ref, but while I was doing it, the taste of tobacco was creeping up my throat. Dx

( Random note: I don't think too many people know this, but I really don't like it when people smoke around me. >_> I used to be not bothered by it so much, but now, it's just gross. Dx )

Oh. I've been doing this random drawing for my brother for some reason.I actually didn't know wtf he actually would've wanted, but I remembered that we used to be obsessed with Neon Genesis Evangelion (or, at least, he was, and I, being the nosey copy-cat little sister, liked it, too), so I started doing a sketch of Asuka and Ayanami for him...
(click for the fullsize...) At the time I did it, I thought it was pretty okay, being that I really can't imitate Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's style very well since it's so exaggerated,
but a week or two pass and I find this on the floor where I had left it and thought it looked hideous. DDx
I especially don't like the fuddy background I did... It wasn't really going anywhere in the first place ( and I think the music I was listening to was affecting me, and the pencil I was using ::blames inatimate objects wholeheartedly like an idiot:: ), so I flipped it over and started sketching on the back of it (INSTEAD OF GOING AND PLAYING FFXII WTF!! ::shot::).
And Asuka seemed to get more attention. xD

ONE: This was when I had only sketched Unit 02 in the bakcground. I didn't really take drawing the actual thing into consideration, but it seemed to just lead off of there, so I kept going. =\ (And WTF I THOUGH UNIT 02 HAD THREE EYES DDDx ::full of confuse and fail::
And I covered up her mouth because it was fugly. I erased it about a million times before I was finally satisfied with it.
And by the by, I currently dislike trying to imitate Sadamoto eyes. Dx
TWO: SO, I changed her eyes here. And I somewhat fixed her mouth? I erased it afterwards, anyway, so that doesn't matter. >_>
And more detail on Unit 02. And I doodled out the skeleton guide thingy for it's hand there, too~ It seemed like the right thing to do, draw in a crazy hand. So I did it. =]
And here's how it looks at the moment:
... Er. Except for the fact that I realized that Asuka doesn't have long sideburn/bangs AFTER I unploaded the photos, so that's gone. >_>
BUT I realized that I made her look a little older. o_o;
... Is that bad?

... So... it's 5am right now. Most people on my f-list (gyfueahnj I MEAN BUDDY LIST FOR AIM) are sleeping or away (so, they're still sleeping T_T).
... I THINK I'LL GO PLAY FFXII! =D!
