Urgh!

Okay, this is practically a shout from the bottom of my fanfiction writer's soul.

I HATE FicWad.Com!!!

Because:

1) It's slow
2) It has a really funked up system of html-coding (or whatever that thing is) - strange asterisks and slashes and square brackets instead of normal tags (who even came up with this madness?!); and the website doesn't process them 100%, this awful coding keeps occasionally surfacing in the text of the published chapter, and you can't do a thing about it
3) I need to login almost every friggin' time I visit that site, despite checking the "Remember Me" box, and it really ticks me off
4) It doesn't send me notifications when someone reviews my stories, and I look like a fool responding a month later, or even more
5) And most importantly - it doesn't show all the pages from the first attempt, or even from the 4th! I've been trying to load the 3rd page with reviews - and no, it says it doesn't exist, even though I perfectly know it does! (How else would I click the link to it if it didn't?)
6) And, well, if you want to add another chapter to your story - heh, I just feel sorry for you, because you won't be able to do that, the reason being paragraph 5 of this list. You fill in the fields, then press the "Submit" button - and voila, the page doesn't exist!

I can't stand it!!! But I know there are some people - not many, but still - who are waiting for updates on my fics, and I just can't abandon them, so I'm gonna continue with this craziness. But, I swear to God, if this website doesn't start to behave like a normal fanfiction server, I'll never go there after I've finished those multi-chapter stories I currently have there.

Just in case someone's going to take this personally - please don't. I have nothing against people who created FicWad and own it. They actually did a great job on that website to make it exist and work, and for that I respect them (especially having some experience of working with html and such myself, and I know what kind of pain in the ass it is to create a decent website, trust me). It's just that after some really comfortable and user-friendly websites out there it's natural to not want problems. In the end, I simply wish FicWad.Com only the best. It's a good website, if you don't take those technical difficulties into consideration. But those technical difficulties is what matters in the long run, what pulls people in or drives them off, and they should be gotten rid of.

*a deep calming breath*

Yeah, I feel better now :)

blow shit up, wtf?, writing
