Ah, the first entry. Is there anything sweeter? Yes, yes there is: toasted marshmallows. We tried to make some tonight on our brand new little barbecue/griller thingy, but my dad insisted that we would use heat beads, not wood for the fire. I tried to point out the fact that heat beads generally don't generate flames, but Dad wanted to give it a try, so Tommy and i sat watching the beads doing a whole lot of nothing over the firelighter, and eventually my Dad got frustrated so we threw a whole bunch of leaves on and had very smoky eucalyptus-y marshmallows...
I spent a whole hour at the dog park today. I could stay there all day, it's so much fun watching all the doggies running around, like watching fish, only less... dull. We've only been three times though and Jess never wants to go more than 5 metres away from me. She never seems to like any of the other dogs and even when they run around, she only chases for a few seconds and then gives up. Hopefully she'll learn to play more after a while. There were heaps of dogs though - and heaps of frustrating owners. Like the kind that freak out if their dog sniffs another dog's butt or snaps/barks at another dog.. geez i mean that's what dogs do. Crazy humans.
Before that though i'd been at the Pet Expo at Rosehill. We started out badly, Emma backed into another car while she was getting cranky at someone else. There wasn't much damage to her car, only a dent, and the other car just had a scratch on the bumper. Emma was a bit shaken up though cos when we had hit the car it sounded really loud. Anyway the expo was fun, we didn't really get much info for the business but it was still a good time, and in true Emma/Lola style we got ice cream at the end :) And there were all these breed stalls, like the German Shepherd Association and stuff like that. I'm gonna form a Cross-Breed Association... poor under-represented mongrels!
Anyway that's it from me today, stay tuned next week for some bitching about exams!

Lola's philosophical-sounding thought of the day: too many doggies at the water bowl means no water for anyone!

chau! -.-
