rain is nice

It's raining! It never rains in this country anymore so i'm quite excited :) Not excited about the fact that it's about 16 degrees outside at the moment... it was at least 35 degrees this morning before it started raining. What a silly place i live in!
Speaking of silly, i bought Jess this tennis ball that has a little squeaker in it and she's completely obsessed with it. Funny puppy :)
Anyway I had a very strange night last night. I went to sleep at around 12, then woke up at 1 coughing so i went to get some cough medicine. Everything kinda went downhill from there, it was really hot, i was really awake and i just couldn't switch off, my mind was buzzing, and yeah.. just bad. And i tried everything, i read a book, did some stretching exercises, i even tried to meditate. Eventually at 4:30 i got up and had a glass of milk, which made me feel really ill, but i did fall asleep at about 5, Mum came in at about 6:30 or 7 to say she was going and did i want her to get some more cough medicine. From then i slept pretty okay til about 9:30, but man did i feel like crap. And not even tired, just crappy! So yeah. I got really freaked out though cos i couldn't come up with an explanation of why i didn't sleep and i was starting to worry that maybe...i don't even know what! i worry too much. Anyway here's hoping i sleep better tonight, cos i have an exam tomorrow at 9 :P
I was watching tv today (must be exam-time) and one of those Chrisco ads was on saying "Christmas is all about saying 'i love you', 'thanks', and 'happy holidays'..." Ahem. Hey, remember Jesus? Remember when Christmas used to be about Jesus? *sigh* stupid consumerist society. I mean i'm not saying they have to say "Christmas is all about Jesus" and then try to sell hampers from that, but geez couldn't they have worded it differently? zizz. Remind me not to forget what Christmas actually means to me.
Good news though, my cold/flu/terrorist-inflicted-disease (it's bad so it must have been caused by terrorists) is getting better! Yay! No longer am i walking around in a groggy head-exploding state, now i'm just coughing a lot, but hopefully i'll be better by the time exams are over :)
Anyway i should probably get back to studying :P
chau!

Lola's philosophical-sounding thought of the day: The Pussycat Dolls - a disgrace to pussycats, dolls, and women everywhere

p.s. Jess brought me that squeaker-ball to throw 23 times while i was writing that post :P
