Okay... so that updating regularly thing didn't pan out so well.... but alas, here I am again~!

So, I've been kinda procrastinating on a lot of things lately. Like say... the 3 papers I have to write within the next 2 weeks, the exam I have to study for, finding a 2nd job to pay the bills, looking for a new roommate, making a lesson plan for this interview with Amity I have next month... etc.

I couldn't sleep last night and somehow managed to pass out around 6:30 this morning... sleeping through my morning class and getting up too late to go to my 2:00pm class, but figured I might as well go for my 3:30 class, just so I could have the feeling of leaving the campus afterwards instead of going to my stupid women's studies class that is full of b*tches that need a good kick in the head.....

Anyway, so I go, and I'm a bit late, so I don't get to sit with my friends, and it's boring, and I just want to leave, but I stick it out to sign the attendance sheet and then go over to talk to my friend Dave for like 30 seconds before I leave campus... (I'm trying to be more sociable.. it usually works out better with my friend Libby, but I figure I might as well try to keep the other friends I've made too.. especially when they're in my class. ^^; Still generally as anti-social as ever though... go fig.)

So, what are practically the first words to come out of his mouth?

"So, are you still looking for a roommate?"

O_o? This I was totally not expecting. Especially since out of the 4-5 people I try to hang out with regularly, he's the one I spend the least amount of time with. But.. I figure, what could it hurt? And immediately agree and discuss rent/when he's moving in for all of 2 minutes before we go off in opposite directions. (Which is funny, since we currently live like 3 blocks away from each other, and I drove to school today, but I didn't tell him that.)

So, now I have a roommate lined up. I had been talking to my mom the other day and she said that male roommates weren't all that bad 'cause generally they didn't move shit around, and therefore, I wouldn't have to spend my time rearranging all my stuff (I can actually furnish my 2bdrm basement suite myself, so... I'm kinda used to having my stuff a certain way...). So yeah, there's a load off my mind, 'cause now I don't have to worry about how the fuck to pay rent May 1st!!

And then.. I come home, and what happens?????

"Hi, Lara. I was wondering if we could set up an interview for next Wednesday?"

M&M Meat Shops..... a place I don't particularly want to work at (let's face it... it's retail), but figure the money's better than I make working for Sylvan, and I'd figured I'd needed a 2nd job just to pay rent, so I applied. The guy sounds pretty easygoing, and totally doesn't care that I already have a job at Sylvan. Actually.. it's like a block away from Sylvan, so if I can line it up to work at M&M's in the morning and Sylvan in the afternoon, I'll be really effing happy!!

So now, I have a roommate lined up (there go the financial woes of the moment), a pretty promising interview at M&M, an equally promising interview with Amity (which I have a pretty good idea of what to do for a lesson plan... working at Sylvan is good for something!), and things are looking pretty up.

All I have to do now is actually start my effing papers and I'll be set to graduate and get older next month!

Oh, and I guess I should probably clean and rearrange my house a bit..... but that can wait. ^___^
