Santorini. Naturally beautiful, wildly famous, and with a history that is as heavily debated and uncertain as the creation of Earth.
Well, something like that.
Yo, peeps (yes, I just said that.) I'm Snap, and my character is the bold, the bountiful, Thera Minoa. Thera is based on Santorini, a volcanic island located in the Aegean sea. Santorini is the largest island of a small archipelago off of the Greek mainland, and is the most well-known of the Cyclades (a group of islands consisting of 220 islands, coolest ones (imo) being: Mykonos, Delos, and of course Santorini.)
Several aspects of Thera's design is based on the history that is recently being discovered through archeological excavation. Based on recent findings, researchers are beginning to believe that Santorini is the original city that Plato made into legend, "Atlantis."
I traveled to Greece with my family (ps, I live in USA. I hear there's lots of people here who are from outside of the US. Tell me about it!) and the two places I loved most was Mykonos and Santorini. So when my friend told me she had a character who is based off the Isle of Lesbos....
Well, I just had to fill in the role of Atthis's ex.
Let's just say Thera's about to make Atthis's threads a whole lot more complicated. >:3
