Everyone reading this is now hearby invited to my lan party. Its going to be held on saturday april 1st (no this is not an april fools joke). The festivities will probably begin about 5pm on saturday but we'll have to have everyones computer here on friday to set up the network and troubleshoot everything, i also want people to help bring in tables, chairs, surge protectors, etc.. the week prior to the party.
It's going to be alot of fun guys, im planning on getting ten computers in here and hopefully have about 30 players the most, so if your really interested in coming you'll have to call me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND RSVP. If you dont call me to RSVP then you arent going to get in the door, sorry. We are going to be playing CS and probably setting up 5 man teams and doing a tournament. People who have the nicest computers and the newest version of CS will be put at the top of the list but we should have room for everyone that wants to come.
the party will go from 5pm saturday till sometime sunday afternoon evening, dont expect to sleep, bring lots of caffiene.
Please spread the word, and dont waste time, theres only a few days before the party...
There may be a small donation required at the door, no more than 5$ depending on how many people show, we are gonna use that money for meals, refreshments and other supplies for the party.
Essential Equipment for the party.
if anyone can lend out this stuff for the night or bring it with you to the party it will be much appreciated.
10 Computers, fully equipped: Tower, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, HEADPHONES, Surge protector. we will probably play CSS so make sure you have atleast 1Ghz Processing speed, over 256MB RAM, a nice video card and a network card of course.
Routers, We are going to need atleast a 12 port switch/router for the network, i have a 4 port so if 2 other ppl can bring in 2 more 4 ports that will work also
Cat5, We are going to need alot probably over 100ft, bring all you can carry please.
Desks/Tables/Chairs, we are going to need enough for 10 rigs.
Thats about all the supplies we need, ill probably run my computer as the dedicated server unless anyone has any objections.
This is going to be a really fun party, we are already expecting a large turnout so if you want to show off your elite rig or you wanna show off your 1337 headshot skillz this is the place.
IF YOU WANT TO COME TO THE PARTY YOU HAVE TO CALL ME BEFORE MONDAY March 27th because thats the day we are going to start setting up.
