I've been feeling like a minor hypocrite lately. I've always said I was one of those "gameplay first" guys, and that graphics don't matter, but I find it harder and harder to go back to my Nintendo 64 sometimes. I feel like my XBox and PS2 are spoiling me.
After becoming so familiar with the later games in the series, I can't go back to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. ...then again, the thrill with that game disappeared long ago after I lost a 100% Clear save for it. I never regained the patience for it.
I also had some other examples in mind, but when I got to thinking about it more, I think I'm figuring it's more a case of boredom with the familiar. I've played all my N64 games to death basically. I haven't had nearly the same amount of time with the newer systems, though, so all the games for it still seem fresh.
Okay, I don't know where this topic was going. Nevermind.
